Overseas Ambassadors

In 2010 the Old Brightonians Association was welcomed into the Development & Alumni Office at Brighton College and is now run as the ‘Old Brightonians’. Membership fees are now part of the College school fees, so that every pupil graduating becomes an 'Old Brightonian'. All past OBs are currently being ‘joined’ free of charge to the network as part of the College’s welcoming of its alumni into the College community.

In order to keep in touch with our ever-growing alumni, we have started identifying individuals to head up regional and country groups in areas where there is a thriving community of Old Brightonians. The commitment of these individuals’ time will be an invaluable resource for the Old Brightonians, as they help us to spread the net in engaging our former pupils.

Old Brightonian alumni groups represent a network of ambassadors around the world. They enable Old Brightonians to maintain contact both with the College and each other, and in the long term enhances the College’s reputation locally, nationally and internationally.

At a local level, the aims of the branches include the following:
• To make contact with OBs on a local and regional level, to assist in finding OBs who have lost contact with the Old Brightonians and with Brighton College
• To offer opportunities for OBs to network, socialise and offer their skills and expertise for the benefit of the College, and other alumni
• To maintain contact with the college, and facilitate a two way dialogue between local OBs and the College
• To further enhance the image of the College on a local and regional level

Alumni Relations Office:

The Development and Alumni Relations Office's primary role is to support the Head Master and Governors in realising the long-term plans of the school, by raising non-fee income, and by building a network of strong relationships among parents, staff, Old Brightonians and other friends and supporters.
