Thursday, 29 April 2010
Dear friend,
I hope that by now you will have caught up with the tragic news that Sarah Hanson was killed in a car accident in South Africa on Thursday 29th April.  Sarah lived near Durban and leaves a husband and three young children.
There will be a Memorial Service in the College Chapel on Friday 9th July at 2.15pm. The Rev. David Grigor has kindly agreed to take the service, and we understand that there will be refreshments afterwards in the PAC.
I spoke to her mum, Barbara, earlier this week and she asked that a warm invitation be extended to all OBs who knew Sarah.  Please do join us if you can.
In preparation for the Memorial Service, we are keen to hear of any anecdotes from Sarah's time at Brighton.  Whether funny, outrageous, poignant, or sobering, please pass them on.
As we also do not have the email addresses of all members of the Class of '91, your help in forwarding this email to others you are in touch with would be appreciated.
Our condolences go to Sarah's family and to her parents, Dan (Head of Geography 1976-91, and housemaster of Aldrich) and Barbara.
With kindest regards, David Gold  (S. 1986-91)
