  • Calling all OB Vets!

    Wednesday, 10 August 2011
We have a very enthusiastic and hard working pupil in the Lower Sixth who wishes to apply for for veterinary science at university. She is extremely hard working and has already gained some experience, but is now looking for some more specalist areas to enhance her university application.

"I know that to get into this course is very challenging and so wish to try and appear different from the usual applicant. I have been working at a small veterinary clinic for one and a half years for about two hours every week and have developed a genuine enthusiasm for animal health. A career as a vet has the right mixture of routine and challenge for me. I am now looking for some more unusual work experience in a specialised practice such as cardiology or bionic limbs. Other areas I would like to experience include: avian practice, marine animals, veterinary research, and working with an army vet. However, any other relevant experience, possibly abroad, would also be welcomed."

  • A long established permanent and contract recruitment consultancy with offices in the UK, USA, Middle East and Australia seek an additional Resourcer who can speak Mandarin to clients and candidates. This role supports that of the Recruitment Consultant. As well as calling clients and potential clients to identify vacancies and to build rapport, the post will involve research on the telephone and by computer looking candidates with the skills and experience to match with specific jobs. As few of the clients are working in the same time zone as we are, this will mean working outside of normal office hours from time to time.
