• Emily Nelson (W. 1997-02) has won Friday's (21st October 2005) heat of ITV's "A Brush With Fame".

    Her "delicate" portrait of Princess Diana's former "rock" Paul Burrell bowled over the judges to the tune of a £1,000 prize and entry into the series final.

    The winner of the series, hosted by Carol Smillie, will walk away with a cheque for £10,000 and the chance to turn professional when they are offered a deal with the UKs leading art publisher Washington Green.
  • The Sunset Strippers are none other than Brighton studio bods Harry Diamond (L. 1996-99), Sergei Hall, Kieron McTeman, who have already notched up a Top 25 hit with their remix of 'Cry Little Sister; the theme tune to the Lost Boys film. They have also remixed Planet Funk's forthcoming hit 'The Switch; which features in the latest Mitsubishi television adverts.

    Brighton College has benefited in many ways from the leadership and vision of Anthony Seldon. One of the most remarkable innovations he has brought to pupils, parents and OBs alike are his now legendary visits to the Great War battlefields.
  • Former Grand Prix racer and Old Brightonian Jonathan Palmer has agreed to purchase the four race circuits owned by Brands Hatch Circuits Limited: Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park, Oulton Park and Snetterton, for an undisclosed sum.

    Jonathan and his two partners, John Britten and Peter Ogden, will own and control MotorSport Vision (MSV) – a new company established for the purposes of owning and developing the four circuits.

The Development and Alumni Relations Office's primary role is to support the Head Master and Governors in realising the long-term plans of the school, by raising non-fee income, and by building a network of strong relationships among parents, staff, Old Brightonians and other friends and supporters.
