New York Dinner taking shape...

Thursday, 05 January 2012

Stephen Nedeham Browne (BCJS 1951-56, A. 1956-60) and his wife Nayeli are joining us at the Old Brightonians New York Dinner on 24th March and looking forward to catching up with other Old Brightonians. Stephen lives in Mexico and sent in some details of his very lovely restaurant in Mexico City.

He writes:
"We are now entering our 38th year starting off as a Crêpe Restaurant with 14 tables in a Mansion built in 1901 and have grown over the years in the same building to have 82 tables and can accomodate over 340 people at a sitting. In fact over the weekends we serve over 800 people a day. We are now a Brasserie/Bistro still specializing in Crêpes and employ 128 people (Mexico is labour intensive!) We are three partners who each take a month to overall supervise the running of the business, giving us a lot of free time for other pursuits. I play Cricket and Golf and travel quite a bit coming back to Brighton each year for 6 weeks visiting friends and various OB's of my generation (Aldrich 1956 to 1960)."
