Martin D. J. Buss (D. 1954-58)In view of the redevelopment of the squash courts, Martin Buss (D. 1954-58) has agreed that the sum of £40,000 which he originally donated for the refurbishment of the courts some years ago, should be applied to supporting a scholar from Kingsford Community School for two years. This very generous donation will provide opportunity to a bright boy or girl from a less privileged background who will now have the tremendous start in life they so deserve.

The College has asked the OBA to pass on public thanks for Martin's gift, along with the news that one of the original Kingsford Scholars has recently been offered a place at Oxford University. George Weller hopes to take up his place in September. Any OBs interested in offering additional assistance to widen the Kingsford Scholarship scheme are invited to contact the Headmaster's office in strictest confidence by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
