He's involved in the stadium development at Falmer which promises to be incredibly exciting - long over due for Brighton. Chris MacGregor's book - "My Daddy's Going Away"Chris started writing the poem that later became the children's book "My Daddy's Going Away..." as he returned from an intense tour of Iraq in 2007. The children's picture book then took shape over the next 2 years and illustrations were initiated by two 6th form students before being completed by a professional illustrator. The book published by is Giddy Mangoes.

The Great School Trip - Brighton to ColomboSince leaving Brighton College last summer, Jack Maughan (H. 2007-09), Jamie Proctor (S. 2004-09) and Bradley Vanstone (S. 2004-09) have been planning the trip of a life time. The three 19-year-old gap year students are on a mission to drive from Brighton to India. It's the best - and toughest - school trip ever!

Following the nomination by the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, and the approval by the Supreme Council of the Magistracy, His Majesty the King Norodom Sihamoni has appointed Mr. Andrew T. Cayley (B. 177-82) as new international Co-Prosecutor in the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia. Mr. Nicholas Koumjian (USA) has been appointed as reserve Co-Prosecutor.

Update: Patrick Vanderpant (A. 2003-08) and his mate Rich made it all the way to Amsterdam!

Raising money for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre doing a 36 hour hitchhike had to get as far from the Durham prison without any money - just their powers of charm and persuasion!

Victoria, who left in June 2005 (with 576/600 in Art and 594/600 in Photography), has just gained a place on the MA Fashion Womenswear Knitwear course at the Royal College of Art in London from September. "It all began at Brighton College" were her words.

Picture of Robert with his nephew, Mike Bulpitt, taken recently at his Grandaughter's wedding in Paarl.I have attached this picture of my Uncle Robert H M Bloomfield (S. 1929-32) taken last Saturday in Paarl at his Grandaughter's wedding. He is 95 and doing pretty well and I am pictured with him.

Dr. Ayan Panja (H.1986-91) on new show, "Celebrity Quitters" Print E-mail

Ayan is fronting another prime time series, working title "Celebrity Quitters", this time made by Tiger Aspect for FIVE (to be aired mid january) funded by the NHS and the show follows Ayan and Big Brother psychologist Cecilia d'Felice help five celebrities quit smoking who all have cameras on them 24-7.

Ayan also has a glorious new job title along with being senior partner at his practice. He's now officially 'consumer health adviser to NHS Choices' who have Europe's biggest health websites (7-8 million hits a month).

David has been awarded a scholarship place to Educators@spaceacademy in Huntsville, Alabama, after 15 years in teaching. It is the Honeywell space educators fully intensive astronaut style week training programme for Maths and Science teachers from all over the world.

Peter is now retired in Mexico after leaving South Africa 6 years ago and living the good life with a 7 year stint in the Royal Marine Commando.
