Harry Leonard has just signed a full time contract with the Scotland Academy. He is now the 6th player in 3 years to sign a full time Rugby contract after leaving the College. Craig Holland has also been playing for London Irish in the A League recently and they will keep an eye on him at Loughborough Uni from September. Matt Berry (Loughborough Uni)  - Brighton College Old Boy gained his England Students Cap with Ben Maidment. Lucas Shone and Tom Aiken played at Twickenham for Brighton Blues in the EDF Intermediate Vase on May the 15th. Ben Maidment (Cambridge) & Dan Rosen (Captain of Oxford )played in the latest Varsity match.

Max Maidment (R. 2007-09) has just signed a contract for Bath Academy from New Zealand where he has also been selected to represent the Taranaki U18 Provincial team.Max Maidment (R. 2007-09) has just signed a contract for Bath Academy from New Zealand where he has also been selected to represent the Taranaki U18 Provincial team. Max has had a year out from Education to play Rugby for Worthing and then play in New Zealand. The Chief Executive of Taranaki Rugby is Mark Robinson the All Black center who played with Mr Buoy at Cambridge University which is how the opportunity came about. Max will start training with Bath full time this Summer on his return and continue his education at Bath University studying Economics. Max is the now the 5th player in 3 years to leave Brighton College and sign a professional contract with a Premiership Club.

Matt Berry (R. 2001-05) is hoping that his efforts for England Students can secure him a professional contract for next season.Matt Berry (R. 2001-05) is hoping that his efforts for England Students can secure him a professional contract for next season.

The loose head prop has started all 23 games for England this year, and Matt (on a scholarship at Loughborough University, where he is a 1st XV regular) is hoping to get a break at the top level.

Matt hadn't even played rugby until he attended Brighton College, and so we are particularly proud of his rapid developement since then.

Tom Aiken (A. 2003-08) will be playing for Brighton Blues in the final of the EDF Senior Vase competition at Twickenham on 15th May.Tom Aiken (A. 2003-08) will be playing for Brighton Blues in the final of the EDF Senior Vase competition at Twickenham on 15th May.

Brighton Blues booked themselves another big day out at Twickenham after a pulsating, 13 - 12 victory over Cirencester over in the West Country! The Blues now play Dunlop in the final of the National Vase at Twickenham on Saturday 15th May 2010. Kick off is at 5pm.

Sunday 25th April saw a somewhat relaxed and laid back Pelicans squad take to the field at this year's Sunshine 7s. Our first game was against Esher who run a regular 7s squad and were expected to do well at the tournament.Sunday 25th April saw a somewhat relaxed and laid back Pelicans squad take to the field at this year's Sunshine 7s. Our first game was against Esher who run a regular 7s squad and were expected to do well at the tournament.

We lost 12 points to 5 but considering many of our team had not played together before it was a good performance and the opinion from the touchline was that we were in for a good day of 7s. Our next pool game was against Burgess Hill and again the Pelicans put themselves through a gruelling warm up programme... actually they wandered on to the pitch and beat Burgess Hill by 50 points to 5!
