Ben & Tina Stott's World Tour Diary 2006
Africa

Back in Nairobi and have just got onto the first operative cyberlink since setting off for Uganda. Will have more time tomorrow but for now it's a quick hello from the intrepid travellers.
Yes we did see the gorillas at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and wow what an experience. We treked for 3 hours before reaching a family of 13 mountain gorillas and they were in playful mood. The silverback was bigger than Bradshaw and was as chilled as a cold thing. Thankfully it was only the infants that were beating their chests and this was only practice. They came within a foot of us playing their rough and tumble games while daddy rolled onto his back and closed his eyes, happy that the kids were entertaining the tourists.
Will try and send photos of Egypt and Kenya soon so you won't have to wait too long for the Fez shots Alex.

Love to all

Ben & Tina

Ben Stott (R. 1979-84) is a great stalwart and patron of all things related to the Association. He and his wife, Tina, have decided to up stumps for a bit and move to New Zealand. Lord knows why... they seem to think it makes sense... we're all very worried for them... and they seem to think we're all going to visit. Tina's very worried because she thinks she may have left the kettle on. Anyway, here is the intermittent diary of these intrepid travellers...

Take a look at Ben and Tina's photos from their tour here. He's already got a great shot of some Pelicans (hurrah!), and a couple of very cute pictures of a baby Gorilla called Donovan. We have no idea why he's called Donovan... he's neither yellow nor mellow...
