  • Alastair McPherson (S. 2002-07) was married to Angela Castillo on 3rd July 2011. The marriage took place in the open air on the banks of the Potomac, in Virginia USA. William Hall-Smith (A. 2002-07) was the best man, and Alastair Sava (A. 2002-07), James Taylor (D. 2002-07) and Callum McPherson (S. 2004-09) were groomsmen.

    I am very pleased to announce that I have recently married Ruth Potter, after meeting at church in Cheltenham, Glos. We married in Cheltenham on the 9th April this year and we joined by many friend and family including more than a few old brightonians!

    Tom Hughes (A 1992-97) married dentist Olya Samoylenko in April 2010 at Pelham House, Lewes, with another celebration with her family in Ukraine in September 2010. We wish the happy couple every success.

    Toby Weeden (C. 1989-1993) married Courtney Love on the 01 August 2009 at RAF St Clements Danes Piccadilly with a reception at the RAF Club Mayfair. Many of Courtney's Canadian family managed the trip across, and the newly weds spent their honeymoon in Madeira (and not a flood in sight thankfully!).
  • Matthew Cro (R. 2002-07) and Charlotte Grammer (W. 2002-07) were married today by Father Robert Easton in the school chapel. The sun shone for you, as we hope that it does always in your married life together. Our warmest congratulations to you!
  • James Aiken (A. 1998-03), son of John & Fiona Aiken (A. 1976-81/F. 1979-81) and brother of Tom Aiken (A. 2003-08), married Rachel Tripp in Brighton on Saturday 16th April. Other Old Brightonian attendees included his best man, David Watson (R.1998-2003), his uncle Roger Aiken (A. 1971-76), Harvey Strudwick (H. 2006-08), Sam Turner (S. 2003-08) and his godfather, Michael Seare (A. 1977-82).

    Former Brighton College Prep School boy Jack Bremer (BCJS. 1990-94 - son of former Director of Art, Nick Bremer) married Katy Appleton, sister of Joey Appleton (D. 1979-84) and daughter of Graham Appleton (D. 1953-57) in Marylebone, London on 29th December 2010. Attendees included the above mentioned Appletons & Bremers, as well as Best Man, Alex Bremer (R. 1979-83), Jack Hayes (L. 1951-54), Rod Langridge (A. 1956-61) and Patrick Bremer (BCJS. 1992-96).

    Congratulations to Rachna Metha, whose Indian wedding was held at The Brighton Dome on 7th November 2010 following a Civil ceremony on 2nd October.
  • Peter Fokes married Rachel Thomas at St Peter and St Paul's Church in Peasmarsh nr Rye, East Sussex on 2nd August 2008. The wedding was attended by OBs Nick Fokes, Josh Brett (R. 1987-92), Rob Holt (S. 1984-89) and James Holt (S. 1990-95).

The Development and Alumni Relations Office's primary role is to support the Head Master and Governors in realising the long-term plans of the school, by raising non-fee income, and by building a network of strong relationships among parents, staff, Old Brightonians and other friends and supporters.
