On Thursday 30th June we celebrated at the College with a service for our leavers, and after the traditional leavers photographs on the lawn the College then celebrated with a Graduation Ceremony for Upper 6th Leavers.
Old Brightonians Will Emery (He. 2009-14) and Charlotte Haney (BCPS/Wi. 2002-15) were at the service to welcome in the new crowd. Following on from this and after a series of obligatory end of year photographs the Chapel played host to our U6th pupils, and their families and teachers for the Graduation Ceremony. A series of moving and amusing valedictions from the Housemasters and Housemistresses was punctuated by some witty reflections from Gemma Ashworth (Ch. 2007-16) and Finlay Mead (Al. 2009-16), prior to a fantastic speech from our guest of honour, Miss Malloch. The Headmaster's closing words, which struck home to the pupils that their time here really is almost ended, added to the sense of occasion.
Welcome to the Old Brightonians and all the best for the future, we know it's going to be bright.
