The OB Pelicans and supporters arrived at East Grinstead on Sunday morning in the driving rain. After a delay to assess the pitches, it was decided that, despite the conditions, the tournament would go ahead. Only 12 teams were available so the draw was re-organised and we played the Marauders first. Despite a try by Ryan Bhimji, we lost to the semi-professional Marauders 10 - 5.

Victories against Crowborough, 32 - 7 with tries from Tom Aiken, Sam Wellings, Sam Woodhead, Tijman Dye & Ed Kittow and GDS Hermits 29 - 14 with tries from Ryan Bhimji, Ed Court, Ed Kittow and Sam Woodhead allowed the Pelicans to progress into the quarter finals, where the team met the Kamikazes, another semi-professional side. Despite a try & conversion from Andy Doc and the loss of one of the Kamikaze players to the sin bin, the OB Pelicans lost 14 - 7 in a very close game.

Many thanks to both players and supporters for a great day despite the weather conditions.
