Match report: Los Pelicanos Hermanos - cup triumph!

It's finally happened. The boys from Brighton College have won the cup at Littlehampton for the first time! In a tight final against Crawley, they were losing 1-2, but after some stern words from player-coach Aidan Phillips-Cragg and captain Alex Brown, the tide turned. Tries from Ollie Kirwan, Henry Mason and Alex Bushell (all only 18 years old) changed the game, and the boys came out on top 4-2. It was a testament to the Old Brightonian's spirit that they managed to turn the game on its head.

One victory, one draw, nine defeats and friendships for life

The 1957 Rugby season did not start off or end successfully. By January 1957, the 1st XV Coach E.L.B. Turner, had played eleven games. Of these eleven, there was only one victory, one draw, and a whopping nine defeats, including a 3-29 trouncing by St. John’s, and a 0-23 humbling by Cranleigh School.

Old Brightonian and MotorSport Vision Chief Executive Jonathan Palmer (A. 1969-74) was named 2018 MotorSport Hero at May’s Autocar Awards, recognising his huge contribution to the British motorsport industry over the past 30 years, and then in June Jonathan was inducted as the 2018 Industry Champion at Motor Sport Magazine's 2018 Hall of Fame Awards.

Laura Marsh (Fe. 2000-05), OB of the Month, October 2017

Marsh started playing cricket at school aged 11 and then progressed to Brighton and Hove CC at the age of 13. Initially a seam bowler, she made her international debut for England during India's summer tour in 2006. She took 3-44 in her first Test, opening the bowling alongside Jenny Gunn in the second innings.
