We are sad to announce that Eric Swaffer (Ch. 1979-83) died at the weekend. The helicopter Eric was piloting crashed near the Leicester city football ground whilst transporting the club’s owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.
Eric fell in love with flying during his time at Brighton as a Royal Navy CCF Cadet, when he visited a Royal Navy ship flight deck. His contemporaries and teachers remember him as a kind and popular boy.
