David Gilmour accompanied by 17-year-old pupil Alex Sansbury on drums
Thursday, 19 November 2015

Much to the delight of the chamber choir and Alex Sansbury (U6th, Hampden) who memorably performed with the Pink Floyd legend, David Gilmour generously entertained guests with performances from his latest album Rattle that Lock, and the evocative Wish You Were Here.

Alongside this world-renowned 'line up' were outstanding pupil performances from many of the College's music scholars and staff. Director of Music, Sandy Chenery paid tribute to the generosity of the many donors and for the vision of the Head Master and Govenors. Without this, and the huge contribution of all who have been involved in the design and construction of the wonderful new facility, the evening would not have been possible. Sandy was effusive in his thanks to all involved.

There are still opportunities to name a seat in the Sarah Abraham Recital Hall by making a donation to the Music School. For more information, please contact the Development Office on 01273 704355.
