On Thursday 9 January 2020, we were delighted to welcome The Right Honourable Sir Nicholas Soames to officially open the School of Science and Sport. Designed by Ellen van Loon of OMA, our newest building is designed to seamlessly link sports and science and overlooks the Home Ground at the north end of the campus.

This latest addition to the school campus will provide pupils with state-of-the-art sporting and educational facilities. Pupils will be able to hone their skills on the indoor and outdoor running tracks, train in the Blackshaw Gym, compete in the double-height Neville Abraham sports hall and swim in the new 25-metre 'Lido'. There is a large studio with a sprung floor for dance, spinning, yoga and aerobics and girls and boys will also have access to 18 university-standard laboratories and the ‘Kino’, a cinema-style auditorium. You can see more images of this fantastic building on the Brighton College website.

Pupils started to use the building straight away, and it looks already like they have been there forever.

Thank you to the generous Old Brightonians who contributed to this transformative project; we are immensely grateful for your support.
