It was between 8 and 9 am on Thursday 16th April that I received a telephone call. A voice- unfamiliar - announced that he was speaking from Adelaide, South Australia.

Alex Cole (D. 1979-83) is the first Englishman to become "Champion de France Rallye Tout Terrain". At the final rally of the year in Normandy, a third overall secured the 2006 title 'Champion de France'.

In a moving ceremony, an Old Brightonian’s sword, hanging in the College Chapel for generations, was returned to “active duty”. Captain Anthony Harris took possession of the sword of his great grandfather, General Sir Francis Tuker, who was a member of School House before joining the Royal Sussex Regiment in 1914.

18 June 2007 Sarah has made it through from over 10,000 singers and bands across the country to the Live stages of Live & Unsigned "South Coast Idol".

Brighton & Hove Albion supporter, Paul Samrah (L. 1972-77) has won the EA SPORTS Fan of the Year Award at the 2008 Football League Awards incorporating FourFourTwo's Top 50 Football League Players.

02 October 2007

As many Old Brightonians will be aware, Peter died on 2nd October 2007. His memorial service at Bishop Hannington Church on 10th October was attended by several hundred friends from Peter’s wide range of interests, a tribute to the affection and respect in which he was held. Peter himself had a long association with Bishop Hannington Church as a member of the welcoming team “meeting and greeting” members of the congregation as they arrived for services in his own inimitable way.

Stephen Webbe married Jillie Periton (nee Alder), formerly of Brighton and Hove High School for Girls, at Worthing Register Office on November 3rd 2006.
