I had lunch on 15th Sept 2008 in the Wykeham Arms in Winchester, where I now live, with Jim Leader who was my Head of House in Chichester in the late 60s. He is a Consultant Mining Engineer (and part-time lecturer) in Vancouver and was on his way home from Kazakhstan where he’d been advising on a chromium mine. He had arranged to meet in London Chris Pickering, to whose son he is Godfather, and also Roger Waddams, Nigel Robinson and Robin Barratt.
