Brighton College pupils have achieved wonderful success both within and outside the classroom this term and one exceptional example is the 1st XV rugby team, captained by Marcus Smith (Upper Sixth, Leconfield), who are unbeaten in 24 matches.
Having started all Bloomberg Hong Kong Scottish's games in the premiership this season and following some great performances Marcus made his debut on the left wing for Hong Kong's National Team against Zimbabwe on 15th November 2016. Hong Kong ran out winners 34-11.
We have made a special short feature film to celebrate hosting the England Rugby team last month. It also highlights the philosophy of the Brighton College Rugby Club, which is going from strength to strength at the moment. Record numbers of boys are opting to play the sport and the A teams are excelling nationally. I truly believe that Rugby Union at any level can help boys to fulfil their potential in life.
Calum Waters was awarded his England U20s cap on Friday night after making his debut at scrum half against Wales in Bristol.
Harlequins and former England centre Jordan has retired at the age of 27 because of a hip injury. He won two international caps in 2012, came through the Quins academy and made 181 appearances.
