We are always grateful to receive donations to our College Archive from members of our College community and beyond. Indeed, one of the most rewarding parts of our College Archivist's role is the arrival of unexpected archival treasures!
Recently, we were delighted to receive a generous donation from the daughter of an Old Brightonian who sadly passed away last year. The collection included ten wonderful house and sporting photographs from her father's time at the College in the late 1940s. We have already confirmed that several of these images fill important gaps in our existing photographic collection, making them a valuable addition to the Archive - including this photograph of Aldrich House, taken in 1947.
Our College Archive is enriched by the generosity of our alumni, their families, and the many thoughtful individuals beyond our community who take the time to donate records that help preserve and celebrate our shared history. Every donation, large or small, contributes to ensuring the story of the College can continue to be told for generations to come.
