 900x1200 Seasonal Search

This will be the last post of the year from the College Archive (unless you count our double spread in the forthcoming edition of The Pelican of course!)

So, as you venture into the loft this holiday season—to wrestle with tinsel, dusty boxes of Christmas decorations, and boxes within boxes that you have been meaning to sort— we wanted to ask you to keep an eye out for any College treasures that you may find tucked away.

Old photographs, programmes, letters, and other snippets of Brighton College life often surface in the most unexpected places, and they will always be gratefully received by our College Archive.

If you do uncover something interesting by torchlight, we are always more than happy to scan documents and return the originals to you, ensuring your memories stay safely in your hands while also becoming part of our shared history.

Who knows? While you are untangling those fairy lights, you may inadvertently shine some light on some precious OB memorabilia too.

With warm thanks to all who generously donated items to the Archive in 2025—your contributions help keep our shared story alive. Wishing you a restful and happy winter break.

Whether it is a photo, uniform, diary, or program from a school play, every piece of history speaks to our shared journey. The Brighton College Archive contains hundreds of fascinating primary sources and we actively encourage interested OBs to get in touch and arrange a tour.

If you have any historic artefacts, documents, or memories from your College days that you would be willing to share with us, please contact our College Archivist, Mr James Harrison
