We are pleased to share an interesting update from Cameron Kinross (Du. 2019 – 21) whose journey post-university is already unfolding in exciting ways, with achievements across sport, learning, and career development in just a short space of time.
Cameron recently signed a semi-professional rugby contract with Valencia RC in Spain, embracing a new culture both on and off the field. Already a few weeks into training, he is settling into the team well and thriving in this new challenge.
In addition to his rugby commitments, Cameron is diving into language learning at Sunlight Language School, with the ambitious goal of reaching B1 fluency in Spanish by the end of the year—which is especially impressive considering he only began learning just a few months ago.
Looking ahead, Cameron has accepted a role as a Graduate Nuclear Engineer Consultant with Frazer-Nash Consultancy in Manchester, beginning next September. The position perfectly aligns with his academic background and passion for nuclear physics.
In the meantime, Cameron has also launched online Maths and Physics tutoring, combining subject expertise with some entrepreneurial spirit, as he builds experience in online education and student outreach.
Cameron said, "Pushing beyond my comfort zone — learning a new language, joining a new team, and embracing a new culture — has already been hugely rewarding, and I’m hoping this will be a year I’ll always look back on with pride.”
We wish Cameron the best of luck and look forward to seeing what comes next.
