We are delighted to announce that David Grigor (Le. 1982-87), has just published a wonderful new children’s picture book titled, Mission to the Moon: A Sensory Space Story, now available via Kindle Direct Publishing on Amazon UK and Amazon.com.
This beautifully crafted story (written and illustrated by David himself) invites young readers aged four and up on an imaginative, sensory-rich journey into space.
The book's sensory pages are a fascinating feature of the story. Designed in collaboration with the charity PAMIS.org.uk, who support people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, these tactile additions enhance the reading experience for children of varying abilities. There is also a Mission patch activity, encouraging readers to design their own mission badge; and a QR code that links to the author’s website, where educators and families can access special art projects and guided questions tied to the story.
Brighton College is honoured to be acknowledged in the opening pages of the book, as David credits the College with giving him the springboard for his lifelong fascination with space, thanks to his involvement with the Brighton College Astronomy Club.
Congratulations David. Mission to the Moon combines creativity, inclusive design, and educational fun in one delightful package. This book will be available soon to download and to buy as an e-book or as a paperback in most countries worldwide.
