This summer’s exam results have been nothing short of exceptional, with Brighton College pupils achieving record-breaking success at both GCSE and A‑level.

At GCSE, pupils achieved an astonishing 62 % of grades at 9 (A*), with over 98 % at grades 9–7 (A–A*). This includes a staggering 1,300 Grade 9s, and 59 individual pupils that secured nine or more Grade 9s. These figures mark Brighton as not just the top performer in Sussex, but the best co‑educational school in the UK.

At A‑level, Brighton College also achieved record-breaking success: a phenomenal 99.3 % at grades A–B, with 87 % achieving an A–A*, and a quite remarkable 48 % of all grades achieved at A*.

These results earned the school an unprecedented trio of accolades from The Sunday Times Parent Power Schools Guide - 'Top School of the Year for A‑levels', 'Top Academic School in South East England', and 'UK Boarding School of the Year' - as well as recognition as the overall Top Co‑Educational School in the UK at A-Level.

These fantastic results are well-deserved rewards for the hard work of the pupils and the dedication of our outstanding teaching body, but they reflect more than just Brighton College’s academic strength—they speak to a culture of encouragement, ambition, and individual care. Many congratulations to pupils and teachers on this incredible result.

For our Old Brightonians who walked the same corridors, we sincerely hope it is pleasing to know that the future is bright and the school continues to lead the way.
