 900x1046 MND Row

On 18 June, pupils and staff from Head's House will embark on a 24-hour Rowathon to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

The challenge has been organised in memory of Pete Bellenger, a much-loved former tutor in Head's House and an inspiring chemistry teacher who made a lasting impact on generations of pupils.

Over the course of 24 hours, participants will work in relay to keep the rowing machines moving continuously, raising funds for the MNDA and increasing awareness of motor neurone disease. The event reflects both the determination of those taking part and the affection in which Pete is still held by the school community.

Head's House is welcoming support from across the College community, with pupils and staff from other Houses invited to contribute, whether by taking part in the challenge itself or helping behind the scenes.

Old Brightonians who would like to support the initiative can do so through the event's fundraising page. Every contribution will help the Motor Neurone Disease Association continue its work supporting people affected by the disease and funding vital research.
