Ruby Jerges (Ch. 2015-22) has added a national title to her growing list of achievements, winning gold in the Senior Long Jump at the England Athletics U20 and Senior Track & Field Championships in Bedford on 5 July.
Ruby produced a superb leap of 6.09 metres to secure the England Senior Long Jump title. Her winning jump placed her just ahead of Jessica Lee of Thames Valley Harriers, who finished second with 6.02 metres.
Ruby’s success is another significant milestone in what continues to be a remarkable athletics career. Competing against some of England’s leading athletes, she demonstrated the consistency, determination and talent that have made her one of the country's most exciting long jump prospects. (Her PB is 6.28 metres.)
