Sarah Mann (Fe. 1985-87) is returning to the Brighton stage this September in Stand or Fall, a new play celebrating the extraordinary history of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club as it marks its 125th anniversary.
Written by Brighton Fringe Award winner Mark Brailsford, the production follows a family and their journey through the highs and lows of supporting the Albion, from the club’s struggles at the Goldstone and Withdean through to its return to the top flight and European football. The production combines live action, music, comedy and video footage to tell a distinctly Brighton-inspired story.
Sarah brings a wealth of theatre experience to the production. An actor, director and theatre producer trained at Arts Educational Schools, London, her recent work has included roles in Shakespeare’s Lost, The Madness of George III, The Lady in the Van, Love and Money and The Lad Himself. She has also performed with Glyndebourne Festival Opera, including Pelléas et Mélisande, and has worked with Brighton Shakespeare Company for many years, most notably playing Lady Macbeth.
