 900x1200 Sava Family

Old Brightonians Alistair Sava (Al. 2002-07), Madeleine Sava (Wi. 2004-09) and their mother Ms Sally Woodmansey (CR. 2001-) are preparing for an extraordinary charity challenge this weekend.

They will take part in the Lewa Safari Half Marathon in Kenya on 27 June, raising money for Tusk, a leading conservation charity working across Africa.

The family chose to support Tusk because of its long-standing commitment to protecting endangered wildlife, preserving vital habitats and supporting local communities. Through partnerships with conservation projects across the continent, the charity helps safeguard species including the critically endangered black rhino and Grevy’s zebra, both of which can be found in the Lewa Conservancy.

Their race will take place within the conservancy itself, widely recognised as one of the world’s most significant wildlife reserves.

We wish Alistair, Madeleine and Sally all the very best for the challenge!

If you would like to support their efforts, you will find their event page here, or visit www.lewasafarimarathon.com to find out more.
