Many congratulations to Will Bicknell-Found (Ha. 2010-15), for reaching the televised Semi-Final of the BBC New Comedy Awards 2025 — a prestigious national competition celebrating some of the UK’s most exciting emerging comedians.
Will, who has been making waves recently on the stand-up circuit, impressed audiences and judges alike with his sharp mind and distinctive comedic voice. His appearance in the semi-final is a fantastic achievement, reflecting both his creativity and commitment to his craft.
It has already been a great 2025 for Will, who defeated all-comers to win the UK Pun Championships. He was also nominated for Best Comedy Show at the Buxton Fringe, and Best Variety Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival, for his one-man Sci-Fi odyssey: 'Will BF - Moon Team IIIV'.
The BBC New Comedy Awards have launched the careers of many household names, so it is wonderful to see an Old Brightonian gain national exposure.
