Some of our newest Old Brightonians were out in force last week, reconnecting, sharing stories and celebrating life beyond College right across the country. On Wednesday 4 February, OBs studying at universities in the North of England came together in Manchester, while a group at universities in the West of England met on the same evening in Bath.

On Thursday 5 February, the Class of 2020 returned to London to celebrate their five-year reunion, picking up right where they left off with plenty of laughter and renewed friendship. More than sixty OBs joined the evening at The Other House, Kensington and co-hosts Steve Marshall Taylor and Richard Worrallo were delighted to see so many familiar faces.

The week concluded on Friday 6 February with a fantastic Scotland Universities dinner in Edinburgh, a true reflection of how strongly our community is thriving north of the border. Demand for tickets was so high that we even had to move to a larger venue!

Speaking after the dinner, the Principal Richard Cairns reflected on the evening saying, “They made me feel very old - but equally very proud of the men and women they have all become. The future for this country is not nearly so gloomy as commentators suggest.”

Across every event, one thing was clear: our young OB community is flourishing, full of promise, and relishing every opportunity to come together again.
